African Leadership Academy seeks to transform Africa by developing a powerful network of over 6,000 leaders who will work together to address Africa’s greatest challenges, achieve extraordinary social impact, and accelerate the continent’s growth trajectory.
Africa’s greatest need is ethical and entrepreneurial leadership. Too often, we only invest in addressing the symptoms of poor leadership in Africa: we give blankets, food, and medicine to those impacted by war, poverty, and famine. But these efforts will never stop unless we develop leaders who prevent wars, entrepreneurs who create jobs, and innovators that develop lasting solutions to the root causes of Africa’s problems. We aim to develop the future Nelson Mandela, the next Wangari Maathai, and the African Bill Gates.
African Leadership Academy (ALA) seeks to enroll the most outstanding young leaders from across African and around the world — ALA is not only looking for young people who are smart and excel academically, we are also looking for young people with potential to lead and impact the world around them through their courage, initiative, and innovation.
Admission Criteria:
- Leadership Potential
- Entrepreneurial Spirit
- Passion for Africa
- Commitment to Service
- Academic Achievement
Fees & Financial Awards: Need-based financial assistance are available to students on request.
Deadline: Jan 11 2019.

KIPP schools are tuition-free, public charter schools open to all students. KIPP schools are united by a common mission, a commitment to excellence, and a belief that if we help children develop the academic and character strengths they need for college and choice filled lives, they will be able to build a better tomorrow for themselves, for their communities, for us all.
Charter schools are tuition-free public schools and enrollment is open to all students. They are independently operated schools that run with more flexibility than traditional public schools in exchange for increased accountability.
The “charter” that establishes each school is a contract detailing the school’s mission, program, performance goals, and methods of assessment. Every public charter school has an authorizer which, subject to state law, may be a district school board, university, Mayor’s office, or non-profit organization. Authorizers are responsible for holding charter schools accountable for compliance with their operating agreements or “charters.”
Like all public schools, charter schools are:
- Tuition-free and part of the free public school system
- Held to state and federal academic standards
- Open to all students, including those with disabilities
- Funded primarily through a combination of federal, state, and local tax dollars
- Not affiliated with or restricted to a particular religious group
Admission Requirements: KIPP is open to all students from kindergarten to high school.
Financial assistance: Kipp Schools are tuition-free.

Research grants may be made to doctoral or post-doctoral students to enable further research on an important topic. It is recognised that there are considerable differences between education programmes around the world and the committee is dedicated to ensuring that all possibilities for graduate and post graduate studies in energy and natural resources law are eligible. Applications will be received from students graduating from, or accepted for study at, a qualifying academic institution.
